This was actually based off of a conversation I had with , though I doubt he actually remembers.
I wrote this the night after I returned home from going with him to visit his Grandmother in the hospital, (She's okay now, don't worry) which was also around the same time my Aunt died of Leukemia. The reason it took me so long to finally upload this (These events actually transpired several months ago) was due to my incredible perfectionism on getting the last line just right, which I still don't believe I fully achieved. :/ And yes, these are my views in a way. Though I do completely understand the reason why a hospital should appear to be a clean and happy place, the last line really hits home for me.
Basic message being: When your entire world comes crashing down, the last thing you want to see are the smiling faces of others, as if nothing changed at all, as if your loved ones life had no meaning.
But of course, this is a matter of (morbid) opinion. Either way, I hope you enjoy.
Sucks, but definitely an eye opening message to the naive.
Death is a natural part of life, and while there is a time to mourn, there is also a time to move on.
